Mary Camper Vinyard

Mary Camper Vinyard, 85 HOUSTON - Mary Camper Vinyard, of Houston, passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, in the Heritage at Milford. She was 85. Mrs. Vinyard was born on April 5, 1923, in Bowers Beach, daughter of the late Wilbur and Bertha (Wooters) Camper. She was employed as a secretary for 20 years with Masten Trucking in Milford after which she served in the same capacity for several years with the Harrington Raceway and Delaware State Fair offices from where she retired. Because of her love of the animal, Mrs. Vinyard was very involved with race horses over the years. She was a member of the Houston United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Nutter Vinyard in 2002; a brother, Lester Camper; a sister, Lida Camper; and her granddaughter, Julie K. Robbins. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Connie V. and Larry Sipple of Milford; and a brother, Howard Robert Camper of Dewey, Ariz. Services and burial will be private. The family has requested memorial contributions to the Houston Fire Company, P.O. Box 122, Houston, DE 19954. Arrangements handled by Rogers Funeral Home, Milford.
