HANOVER, Pa. - Mary C. Kale, 89, of Hanover, Pa., entered into God's eternal care on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, with her family by her side, at Westminster Village in Dover. She was the wife of Walter F. Kale Jr. who died February 1, 1999.
Born December 18, 1928 in Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Regina (Smith) Lawrence.
Mary was retired from Value City in Hanover, Pa. and previously was employed at Sylvania Shoe Co. in McSherrystown, Pa. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown, Pa. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are two children, Linda A. Long and husband Gregory of Frederica and CMSgt retired, Allen F. Kale and wife Jessica of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren, Dr. Heather Riemann, Dr. Kevin Long, Shannon Kale and Justin Kale; two great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Cole Riemann; and a brother, Robert Lawrence of Hanover, Pa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 26 N. Third St., McSherrystown with Rev. Charles L. Persing as celebrant. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown. Friends and relatives will be received Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church.
A special heartfelt thanks to the staff of Westminster Village for the care, compassion, and kindness given to our Mother.
