Mary C. Embert, 83

CHURCH HILL, Md. - Mary C. Embert of Church Hill died Friday, May 4, 2007, in her home. She was 83 years old.

Born in Marshall, Va., Mrs. Embert was the daughter of the late Willie Sard and Louise (Marvel) Carroll.

Her husband, William "Bill" Charles Embert, died June 11, 1996. She was also predeceased in death by two brothers, William S. Carroll Jr. and Dawson Carroll; and one sister, Dorothy A. Hollingsworth.

Mrs. Embert is survived by two daughters, Betty L. Cannon of Church Hill, and Peggy Kemp of Chestertown; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may call from 6 to 9 Monday evening.

Interment will be in Denton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chester River Hospice, 6602 Church Hill Road, Church Hill, MD 21623; or to the Church Hill United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 6, Church Hill, MD 21623.
