Zimmerman, 67
CAMDEN - Mary Beth Zimmerman of Camden, Delaware passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at her home, with her boys and dog by her side.
She was born October 25, 1954, in Philadelphia to Barbara and the late Dr. Arthur F. Zimmerman, Sr.
Mary Beth graduated from Dover High School in 1972, then went on to complete the Nursing Program at Wesley College. As a highly respected RN, she made her career at Kent General and Bayhealth Hospital, dedicating herself to the care of others in the operating and emergency room for 31 years. A fun-loving outdoors-woman; she always enjoyed fishing, or slipping on steel-toed boots to work hard in the garden. She loved traveling to beaches and mountains, making fond memories skiing and camping throughout the Adirondacks. At home, she was an independent, loving mother who enjoyed cooking for her children, entertaining friends, and keeping cozy by the wood stove. With her generosity and free spirit, she was truly loved by everyone close to her. She was preceded in death by her father, whom she cared for in his final days.
Mary Beth is survived by her two sons, Blair, and Zach Todd; brothers, Arthur, and Thomas Zimmerman; sister, Catherine Zimmerman; mother, Barbara Zimmerman; and beloved dog, Auggie.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 7th, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road. Friends may visit one hour prior.
