DOVER - Mary Ann Maxwell of Dover passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Westminster Health Care Center. She was 96. Mary was born on February 13, 1918 in Albany, N.Y., daughter of the late Dymitrius Yanko and Julia Drabzyk. She worked for Myers Dept. Store in her hometown in the cosmetic dept. for many years as well as being a homemaker. Mary and her late husband, Jack moved to Dover in 1974 where she worked for Fifer Farms and the Delaware State News until she retired. She especially enjoyed playing bingo and scrabble with her friends at Westminster Assisted Living. She also enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, reading the Delaware State News and playing the slots at Dover Downs. She will be dearly missed. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John James Maxwell, Jr. and her son, John J. Maxwell III. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Michael Muller of Cheswold; a grandson, Kevin Urso of Dover; a granddaughter, Michelle Muller of Tucson, Ariz. Services will be private. Burial at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Arrangements by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
