Martha Louise Pernol, 60

GREENSBORO, Md. - Martha Louise Pernol, of Greensboro, died Friday, July 24, 2009, died in the Caroline Home for Hospice, Denton. She was 60. Born Aug. 4, 1948, in Accomack, Va., she was the daughter of the late Dallas Austin and Minnie Mae Adkins. Mrs. Pernol was a lifetime resident of the area graduating from North Caroline High School. She was employed with Allen Foods for 37 years. She is survived by two sons, James A. Ratliff and wife Donna and Charles I. Pernol Jr. and wife Holly, all of Greensboro; two brothers, William Adkins of Anderson, Del., and Johnny Adkins of Mountain Top, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Paula Ewell of Smyrna, Del.; two brothers-in-law, Paul Pernol of Hartly, Del., and Gene Seigler of Denton; five grandchildren, Ricky, Freddy, Amber, Shane, and Charles; two great-grandchildren, Ciara and Bradley Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Irving Pernol Sr. on Aug. 11, 2008. Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where a visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 27. Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro. Memorial contributions can be made to Caroline Hospice Foundation; PO Box 362, Denton, MD 21629.
