Martha Jean Ross, 90
LAUREL - Martha Jean Ross, of Laurel, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2008, in the Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Delmar, were she had lived for the past seven years. She was 90.
She was born in Laurel, a daughter of the late Harry and Nellie Vickers.
Martha was retired from the Super Giant, working as a cashier for 14 years.
She attended the Portsville United Methodist Church in Portsville where she was a member of the W.S.C.S.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Burley L. Ross.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce Ross and his wife Joanne of Delmar, Md., and Ronald Ross and his wife Jessie of Laurel; a daughter, Patricia Waller of Laurel; a brother, Cleveland Vickers of Laurel; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, where a viewing will be held one hour prior.
The Rev. Bryan Rice will officiate.
Interment will follow in Portsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
