HARTLY - Martha F. Stubbs, 74, of Hartly, passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Delaware, the last surviving of six children to the late Frank and Lucy (Tharp) Larimore. Martha worked for the last 21 years beginning as a volunteer and presently kitchen manager for the Mamie A. Warren Senior Center, Smyrna. She enjoyed bingo, the slots, dining out, trips to Lancaster, Pa., spending time with her family and friends and sharing her specialty, fried chicken. Martha was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Women of the Moose and the Mamie A. Warren Senior Center. Besides her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Stubbs Jr.; and daughter, Beverly Ann Kinney. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Stubbs Sr.; three daughters, Sharon Rowley and her husband Howard of Dover, Debra Brown and her fiancé William Brittingham of Smyrna and Cathy Ritter of Dover; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to the Mamie A. Warren, 1775 Wheatleys Pond Road, Smyrna, DE 19977; or to the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge 203, 760 Moose Lodge Road, Wyoming, DE 19934.
