Martha (Moore) Butler, 71

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Martha (Moore) Butler of Cambridge died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, in Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge. She was 71.

Born in Milton, Del., Mrs. Butler was the daughter of the late Clarence Moore and Margaret (Bailey) Moore.

Mrs. Butler was a telephone operator, starting with C&P and finally retiring from Bell Atlantic after 38 years.

She had been living in Cambridge for the past 11 years, coming from Easton and Denton.

Mrs. Butler is survived by two daughters, Cornelia Butler Dickerson of Cambridge and Constance Shane Hulliger of Denton; one son, Gregory K. Butler Sr. of Denton; four brothers, Clarence Moore of San Antonio, Texas, Clayton Moore of Milford, Del., George Moore of Seaford, Del., and Isadore Moore of Milford; two sisters, Jeannette Gray of Milford and Leora Walker of Magnolia; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may call one hour earlier.

The interment will follow in Denton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Jason Edward Dickerson Fund, c/o National Bank of Cambridge, P.O. Box 550, Cambridge, MD 21613.
