Martha Anderson Crelling

Anderson Crelling, 96 DELTA, Pa. - Martha "Stump" Anderson Crelling, 96, of Delta, Pa., formerly of Sudlersville, Md., and Dover, died Sept. 4, 2011, in her home. Stump was born on Aug. 23, 1915, and raised near Sudlersville, daughter of the late James L. and Bertha Meredith Anderson. She was a graduate of Sudlersville High School Class of 1932. During WWII, she worked for area defense plants and for Aberdeen Proving Ground. She retired after 20+ years of service from General Foods in Dover, DE. Stump was a member of Calvary Asbury United Methodist Church in Sudlersville, Top of the Hill Seniors, and the Past President of the Delta-Cardiff V.F.C. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, fishing, crabbing and watching the Orioles. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Nora A. Smith and Louise Wooleyhan. She is survived by her son, Lewis Kenneth Scotten; her daughter, Ruth Ann Robinson and her husband Donald, with whom she lived, all of Delta, Pa.; three grandchildren, Harmony Bradfield, Meredith Robinson-Yakelis (Jason) and Rebecca Robinson; and two great-grandchildren, Zoe Robin Yakelis and Landon Bradfield. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Sept. 10, in Calvary Asbury United Methodist Church, Sudlersville, Md., where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be held in Sudlersville Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to Calvary Asbury U.M. Church, 103 N. Main St., Sudlersville, MD, ASERA Care, 44 Bowman Rd., York, PA 17408; or a charity of your choice.
