Born in Warwick, Md. on June 2, 1967, Mark grew up on Sudler's Row in Blackiston.
Mark worked for Jonah Cox & Sons Flooring for years before going to work for Weaver Sanitation, then back to his love of tree work for Davey Tree and Asplundh Tree Services until he retired due to health issues.
He loved watching wrestling, his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, and enjoyed fishing, crabbing, listening to Country Music and 80's Rock-N-Roll. He also loved spending time with family and friends, specially his kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James M. Powell; his mother, Ethel Marie Morris; his father, William G. Morris; his brother, Willy Morris; nephews, Matthew and Medford; niece, April; grandfather, Mitchell Poore; grandmother, Susie Poore; and his paternal grandmother, Beatrice Webbert.
Mark is survived by his uncle and aunt, Ernest and Erma Webbert; brother, Billy (Jen) of Clayton; two sisters, Alice (Barry) Stevens of Ridgley, Md. and Lillian "Peachy" Morris of Kenton; two sons, Mark G. Morris, Jr. (Yaschi) of Magnolia and David Cloak of Dover; two daughters, Erin N. Morris (Jeremy) of Cheswold and Ashley Cloak of Dover; his beloved friend and ex-wife, Melissa J. Powell of Cheswold; his three closest cousins, Buddy Poore, Bobby Poore, and Loretta Dillmore, all of Cheswold; his very special mother-in-law, Linda Powell of Golts, Md.; seven grandchildren, Eddie, Nate, Tony, Gary, Lilly, David, Jr., and Ricardo; and he was excited to meet his newest granddaughter in July upon her arrival; four step-grandchildren, Alvin, Josiah, I'yah, and Quintin; two nieces, Sandy and Jasmine; and six nephews, Kevin, Willy, Jose, Jeffery, Derrick, and Micheal.
A fundraiser to support Mark's Going Home Service will be on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. at 301 Stevenson Drive in Magnolia.
