Marjorie Michael Katchmark passed away on February 21, 2022. Whether you knew her as Marje, Mimi, Mom, Mammy, Grammy, or Hard Hearted Hanna, Marjorie Katchmark made an impact from the moment you met her.
Marje was the only daughter of the late Whitney T. (Pop) Michael and Esther Austin Michael. She was a proud graduate of Caesar Rodney High School and attended Wesley College. As a young girl filled with hopes and dreams, she met and married Jack Katchmark. Together they shared 52 years and raised four children. After Jack's passing, Marje met Jeffrey Purse who cared for and loved her through her final days. She lived with her daughter Esther Knotts and her husband Rich "and was happy" but her greatest joy was being surrounded by the love of all of her children: daughter, Michele Twilley (Ben); daughter, Jaclene Katchmark (Allan); and son, Michael Katchmark (Juleen). She was also loved by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
