Marjorie Ann (Berryman) Wooding, 78
MILTON - Marjorie Ann (Berryman) Wooding, of Milton, died Friday, April 4, 2008, at Harbor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewes. She was 78.
Marge was born in Philadelphia on March 20, 1930, daughter of the late Henry James and Sarah Maude (Jackson) Berryman.
She married her husband, Thomas C. Wooding, in October 1956. They moved to Lewes in 1983 from Greensburg, Pa.
Marge was an owner and proprietor, with her family, of Wooding's Beach Deli, Lewes, from 1983 to 1993.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Lewes, where she was a member of the Chancel Choir for many years.
Marge sang in choirs for over 50 years. She also directed children's choirs at both Bethel United Methodist Church, Lewes, and Charter Oak United Methodist Church, Latrobe, Pa.
In addition to her husband, Tom, she is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Shannon and David of McDonald, Pa., and Diane Louise Vickers and Edwin of Milton; a son and daughter-in-law, Henry "Harry" Clark Wooding and Kimberly of Milton; five grandchildren, Andrew, Eric, Thomas, Patrick and Stacey; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Allie.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. Fourth St., Lewes, where friends may call at 10 a.m.
Pastor Fred Duncan will officiate.
Friends may also call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes.
Interment will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, near Milton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Bethel Methodist Chancel Choir, 129 W. Fourth St., Lewes, DE 19958; or to Tunnell Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
