Marion Stubbs

DOVER - Marion Stubbs, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Cadia Rehabilitation Capital Healthcare Center in Dover, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 23, 1920, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late George and Elise Langrell. Later the family moved to Smyrna, Del. In 1938, she married Archie Stubbs and moved to Dover. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and occasional trips to the shores to walk the boardwalk and shop. Later in her life she moved back to Smyrna to care for her mother, until 2002 when she became a resident of Capitol Healthcare in Dover. The family would like to thank the staff and Delaware Hospice for their exceptional care they provided during that time. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Stubbs; brother, George W. Langrell; sister, Hester Corter; and great-granddaughter, Courtney Wyatt. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Matthew Ivory, Sr., of Dover; grandson and his wife, Matt and Stephanie Ivory; granddaughter and her husband, Cheryl and Louis Wyatt; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Wyatt, Colby Wyatt, and McKenzie Ivory, all of Harrington; and several nieces and nephews. Remembrance Services will be held at noon, Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, Del. Burial will be at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown, DE. Friends may call one hour before the time of the services at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Delaware Hospice, 911 South DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901, or Debbie's Fund c/o CNB 698A North DuPont Hwy., Milford, DE 19963, Attention D.
