HARRINGTON - Marion M. Weiss of Harrington died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 76.
Mrs. Weiss was born July 23, 1930, in Ridley Park, Pa., youngest daughter of 19 children of the late Clifford and Marion (Fields) Marker.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Weiss loved spending time with her family and enjoyed taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as babysitting for everyone in the neighborhood. In her spare time, she enjoyed going around to the local yard sales.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roy D. Weiss Sr.; two sons, Roy D. Weiss Jr. of Arizona and Max Weiss of Chester, Pa.; three daughters, Marion Vinson of Felton, and Carol Scribner and Ruth Logan, both of Harrington; an adopted daughter, Rondine Drawbaugh, of Flat Rock, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in the McKnatt, Carpenter and Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce St., Harrington, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford-Harrington Highway, Harrington.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either Central Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901; or to The Salvation Army National Headquarters, PO Box 269, Alexandria, VA 22313.
