Marion M. Spencer

DOVER - Marion M. Spencer, age 88, of Dover, passed away peacefully at Capitol Health Care in Dover on Thursday, February 11, 2016. Mrs. Spencer was born July 11, 1927 in Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Andree Gearhart. She retired after many years of work at Tideline Gallery of Rehoboth Beach. Marion loved to cook dinners for everyone and was a very caring and loving person to all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Lester J. Spencer; five sisters; and two brothers. Marion is survived by her son, Lester J. Spencer, Jr. of Dover; two daughters, Jeanine Bisanti of Ponte Vedra, Fla. and Dolores Johnson and her husband Sam of Smyrna; ten grandchildren, Sam Jr., Brian, Cathy, Jennifer, Lester III, Angela, Jaime, John, Frank and Joe; three great grandchildren, Brianna, Laila and Casey; two brothers, Sam Gearhart and Richard Gearhart and his wife Ruth. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery in Lewes. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
