Marion Gibson, 93

DOVER - Marion Gibson, of Dover, died on Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at her home. She was 93. She was born on July 2, 1915, in Asbury Park, N.J., to the late Elwood and Minerva Cornelius Butler. She was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, was a member of NJ Campers & Hickers Association, AARP, Audubon Society, traveled the entire United States, Air Stream Trailer, and wintered in Florida. She graduated from Toms River High School in 1934 and went to Drake Business School in Asbury Park, N.J. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond E. Gibson; and a brother, Raymond E. Butler. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Frank C. Gibson, they married in 1937; a son, Frank C. Gibson Jr. and his wife Marie of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Gale P. Goldey of Litch Field Park, Ariz.; grandchildren, Deborah G. Wardick, Roger R. Goldey, Mark R. Goldey, Frank G. Gibson III, and Marshall B. Gibson; great-grandchildren, J. Peter Flaming, Amy N. Wardick, Melanie B. White, Richard A. Goldey, Alexanderia R. Goldey, Giovana L. Goldey, Krista Stanton, and Joey McFarland. A graveside service will be noon Wednesday in the Bay View Cemetery, Bayville, N.J. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 911 Lotus Plaza, Dover, DE 19901. Arrangements by Trader Funeral Home, Dover.
