Wyoming - Marilyn J. Messing went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 3, 2018, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Marilyn was born June 2, 1942, in Queens, N.Y. to the late, George and Louise (Lutz) Yost. She enjoyed sewing, baking, collecting Indian motif's, and porcelain dolls; and most of all spending time with her family. She held many jobs over the years, but was best known as "Mom".
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 57 years, William E. Messing, Jr.; three sons, William E. Messing, III and wife, Brenda of Wyoming, Mark Messing and wife, Jeannie, of Middletown and Carl Messing and wife, Rihanna, of Verbena, Ala.; a daughter, Melinda Goldblatt and husband, Leonard, of Townsend; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Danielle Barnes, Jacquelyn O'Neill, Marilyn O'Neill, William E. Messing, IV; Steven Heckerman, Charlene Heckerman, Karl Messing, Zachary Messing, Kailyn Messing, April Green, Jeannie Williams, Daimion Messing, Kali Barnes, Caleb Barnes, Mark Jarman, Jessica Jarman, Sadie Messing, Brynn Haggerty, Kole Haggerty, Ayden Heckerman, Alanna Heckerman, Landing Heckerman, Memphis Green, Maya Green, Emily Williams, and Alaina Messing.
Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2018, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018, Rev. C.J. Ransdell, officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.
