GREENSBORO, Md. - Marie Theresa Melton of Greensboro of complications of Alzheimer"s disease died Saturday, July 28, 2007, in Caroline Nursing Home, Denton. She was 80.
Mrs. Melton was born Jan. 11, 1927, in New York, daughter of the late Donat and Edna Arbour Willett.
She was a homemaker. She moved to the area with her husband in 1982.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Melton Jr., in 1999.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary Melton, and his companion, Susan Parsons, both of Bethany Beach, Del., and Russell C. III and Georgia Denise Melton of Greensboro; a daughter and a son-in-law, Cheryl and Moose Wilczenski of Greensboro; two brothers, Paul Willett of Pulaski, Va., and Donald Willett of Johnstown, N.Y.; three sisters, Connie Chindelas of Port Jefferson, N.Y., Rita Harrigan of Lakewood, N.J., and Madeline Mitchell of Gloverville, N.Y.; and three grandchildren, Kristen Wilczenski, Randi Marie Melton and Virgil Presley.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where friends may call one hour earlier.
