Marie E. Harrison, 82

MIDDLETOWN - Marie E. Harrison of Middletown, formerly of Milford, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 82.

Born Sept. 19, 1925, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Antoni and Agnes (Baburek) Bittner.

Mrs. Harrison was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed being with her family and especially fishing with her husband.

In 2003, she and her husband moved to Middletown from Milford to be closer to their loving daughters.

Mrs. Harrison"s warm and caring ways always filled her home with love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

She leaves many cherished memories to her loving husband of 62 years, John W. Harrison; two beautiful daughters, Debbie Morgan and her husband Ron of Middletown and Stacey Rapp and her husband Mike of Bear; one sister, Agnes Dietz of Baltimore; four brothers, Stanley Bittner, Stephen Bittner and Tony Bittner, all of Baltimore, and Richard Bittner of North Carolina; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Committal services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Delaware Veteran"s Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Connection Community Church, 100 W. Green St., Middletown, where family and friends are cordially invited to join Mrs. Harrison"s family for a time of fellowship immediately following services.

Mrs. Harrison"s family would like to thank the wonderful staff members at the Chronic Renal Program in Milford for all of the special care and assistance given to Mrs. Harrison during her illness.
