DOVER - Margie W. Bland of Dover passed away Friday Sept. 12, 2014 at KGH Bay Health, Dover after a long illness. She was born on Feb. 13, 1931 in Church Hill, Md. to the late Watson and Sally Buckle Wessel. Margie graduated from Centerville High School in Md. She worked for the Delaware Division of Libraries for 25 years. She was very active in the PTA for East Dover Elementary School. She enjoyed volunteering to work the election polls. She loved to drive, travel, and shopping for her grandchildren and eating out. She believed her children and grandchildren were her greatest achievements. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse M. Bland, Jr. in 2003 and brothers; Edward, Thomas and Allen Wessel and sister Betty W. Satterfield. She is survived by daughter; Linda B. (Peter Senft) Capone of Dover; son, Jesse M. (Deborah P.) Bland, III of Smyrna; grandchildren, Michael D. Capone of Dover, Laura (Jamar D.) Capone Jones of Elizabeth City, N.C., Eric M. Bland of Newark, Kyle J. Bland of Smyrna and great-grand children, Parker Jones, Chloe Jones and Noah Jones of Elizabeth City, N.C. Services and interment will be private. The family request that memorial contributions be given to First State Animal Center and SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle Camden, DE 19934. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com
