Margareta Crowley, 85

CAMDEN - Margareta Crowley, 85, of Camden, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was born on Dec. 4, 1923, in Germany, daughter of the late Konrad and Margareta (Weidinger) Weich. Margareta enjoyed life as a homemaker, crocheting, doing crafts and making outfits for Kent General Hospital and for the needy at Christmas. She also did volunteer work. She was a member of the Gold Star Wives Club. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Army Staff Sergeant Billy Glenn Crowley in 1965. She is survived by her son, Walter Weich and his wife Diana of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two sisters, Anna Marie and Dorlee, both of Germany; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and an extended family of friends. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Burial will at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
