Margaret Theresa Benedetti, 90

DOVER - Margaret Theresa Benedetti, passed away to God Wednesday, Dec. 03, 2008, in Union Hospital, Elkton. She was 90. She had been a short term resident of Sunbridge of Elkton. She was born on Sept. 22, 1918 in Drifton, Pa., to the late Elik and Anna Petrushka Stefanik. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover. She enjoyed crossword puzzles. She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Joseph J. Benedetti Sr.; and her son, John Anthony Durange Sr. She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Marianne Justo Torres, of Elkton, Md.; stepson and his wife, Joseph J. and Karen Benedetti Jr., of Gardner, N.C.; stepson and his wife, Sam Adam and Joy Benedetti, of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; sister, Bernadine Turri, of Baltimore, Md.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover. Friends may also call Tuesday Dec. 9, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover; and/or Alzheimer's Disease Association, Delaware Chapter, 2306 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805.
