Magnolia - Margaret R. "Skeeter" Faulkner passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, in her home.
Margaret was born Sept. 19, 1938 in Dover to the late Roy & Mamie (Melvin) Bodine. Margaret held various job positions during her career. Retiring in 2000 from the Caesar Rodney School District, in the cafeteria at Allen Frear School.
Margaret was very active with the Ladies of the Loyal Order of Moose, in Harrington for over 40 years. She loved all kinds of animals, especially cats; and enjoyed gardening and flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Samuel N. Faulkner, Jr.; and her twin sister, Doris DeLong.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 63 years, Samuel Faulkner; 2 daughters, Brenda L. DeVeau & husband, Jay, of Magnolia and Mamie Appenzeller & husband, Don, of Cape Charles, Va.; her grandson, Donny Appenzeller & Amy, of Cape Charles, Va.; a great-grandson, Dustin Appenzeller; and twin great-granddaughters, Emma Margaret Appenzeller & Taylor Ann Appenzeller; brother, Gary Bodine, of Felton; several nieces & nephews; her longtime friend Gladys Sipple; and her last furry friend, Prissy.
A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where Funeral Services will take place at 11am, on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery, Sandtown. Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633.
