DENTON, Md. - Margaret Jane Jarrell of Denton died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, surrounded by her family in Ruxton Health of Denton, where she was treated with the up-most loving care. She was 68.
Mrs. Jarrell was born in Grasonville, daughter of the late Charles Raymond and Margaret Louise (Hess) Althoff.
She was a 1956 graduate of the Stevensville High School.
She married her husband, Charles O. Jarrell Jr., in 1961. They lived in Carmichael, where she was a homemaker on the family farm. She and her husband moved to Denton in 1982.
Mrs. Jarrell loved gardening and going crabbing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Marie Vest and Rita C. Smith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Charles O. Jarrell III and his wife Debbie of Denton; a daughter, Teresa J. Kimbles and her husband Jack of Centreville; a brother, C. Eugene Althoff of Denton; a sister, Mary Patricia Althoff of Denton; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Kimberly; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery, Queenstown.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Caroline County Adult Day Care Center, PO Box 10, Denton, MD 21629.
