Margaret Bell Teed, 93

CAMDEN - Margaret Bell Teed, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in Silver Lake Nursing Home. She was 93. Mrs. Teed was born Dec. 13, 1915 in Brockton, Mass., to the late Leon Chester Marston and Margaret MacMillian Marston. While in Massachusetts, she lived most of her life in Randolph, Mass. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dover, where she was active in the American Baptist Women. She was also active in the Christians Women's Club. For many years she was a deaconess, and then in her later years she was honored as Deaconess Emeritus. For many years, she was a Sunday school teacher. While in Massachusettes, she was a Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Teed will be remembered for her kindness, she visited shut in's and always remembered to send greeting cards. Mrs. Teed is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert J. Teed of Camden; her daughters, Peggy Curtis and her husband Woody of Camden, and Lois Waller and her husband Gerald of Opelika, Ala.; grandchildren, Amy Walker and her husband Brian of Malvern, Iowa, James Waller and his wife Stephanie of Gardendale, Ala., Glen Curtis and his wife Jessica of Charlotte, N.C., and Beth Sobocinski and her husband Ray of Bear; and one great-grandchild, Rachael Curtis of Charlotte, N.C. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2009 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10). Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 301 Walker Road, Dover, DE 19904; or The Gideon's International, P.O.
