Margaret A. "Peggy" Roe, 71
MILFORD - Margaret A. "Peggy" Roe of Milford passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006 at home surrounded by her family. She was 71.
Mrs. Roe was born April 5, 1935, in Sudlersville, Md., daughter of Myrtle Brittingham and the late David I. Alexander Sr.
She was the bookkeeper for Danny Roe & Sons in Milford, a business she and her late husband owned and operated for 33 years until they retired in 2004.
Mrs. Roe was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel F. Roe, in 2005; and a sister, Joan Hitchens.
She is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel F. Roe Jr. of Kentucky, David Wayne Roe and Michael Dean and Crystal L. Roe, all of Milford; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Charles Brittingham of Smyrna, Robert F. and Florence Alexander of Hartly, Joe and Nancy Alexander of Massey, Md., and David and Donna Alexander of Georgetown; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Reba Alexander of Bear and Dottie and Jack Pratt of Millington, Md., and three grandchildren, Michael D. Roe II, Brett Alexander Roe and Jade Alexis Roe.
A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, Lotus Plaza, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
