SLAUGHTER NECK - Malinda Violet Parker was born to the late Archibald Parker and Violetta Parker Zachery on July 14, 1957 in Lincoln. She was educated in the Cape Henlopen School District, where she excelled at basketball and softball. Malinda was employed at Seawatch International for 13 years and later at Ken-Crest until her illness no longer allowed her. Malinda loved spending time with her family and rarely missed an opportunity to do so. "You look like me" was one of the highest compliments one could receive from her. She lived her life with vivaciousness and strength. She always brought life to a room. In our hearts she is; "Linda so crazy, Linda so wild." She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Alyzah Zachery; and two fathers, Archibald Parker and Ezel Zachery, Sr. She leaves to cherish her fond memories, one aunt, Ellen Gardner of Wilmington; one uncle, Walter Parker of Philadelphia, Pa.; her mother, Violetta P. Zachery of Lincoln; seven brothers, William Vann of New Brunswick, N.J.; Dexter Parker of Milford; Donald, Steve, Edward (Girlena), Charles (Mary) Parker, and Ezel (Leslie) Zachery, Jr. all of Lincoln De.; four sisters; Juanita Parker of Hartly, De., Bonita, Mary and Angela Zachery, all of Lincoln; three sons, Dershawn Parker (Luronda) of Dover; Antwon Parker (Tiera) of Mililani, Hawaii.; and Terrence Parker of Clayton; eleven grandchildren, Anjene, Deanem, Tristen, Jonathan, Dathan, Terrence Jr., Jerchai, Ethan, Aiden, Jathan, and Anisten; three men she loved as sons, Frank and Roosevelt Williams, of Lincoln, and J. LaMonte Glass of Camden-Wyoming; one goddaughter, Kelly Kpou of Columbus, Ga.; a special niece, Vilicia Parker of Hartly; a special friend, Charles Atkins of Dover; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 with viewing from11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Westley Chapel, Lincoln. Interment Old Hickory Cemetery. Professional services are being handle by McPherson Funeral Service, Inc. Milford.
