Malin O. Lane

DOVER - Malin "Mike" O. Lane, 61, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia after complications from pulmonary fibrosis. He was born on Oct. 27, 1948 in Dover, Del., to late Albert and Bertha Dillmore Lane. Mr. Lane worked for the City of Dover Electric Department for more than 30 years before retiring in 2001. His interests and hobbies included wood working, boating, fishing, hunting and camping. He was an avid lover of the sea and vacationed often at Cape Hatteras. He is preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Tribbett; and his brother John H. Dillmore. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Teresa Lane of Dover; son, Tim Lane of Bridgeville, daughter, Michelle Lane of Dover, daughter and her husband, Shawn Marie and Don Cole of Dover; brother, Albert V. Lane, Jr. of Marydel, Del.; sister, Nancy Jewell of Hartly, sister, Bertha M. Nelson of Dover, sister, Emma R. Lane of Dover, sister, Janus P. Williams of Rehoboth Beach; four grandchildren, Kara Romano, Ashley, Jordan, and Emily Cole. Remembrance Services will be held Wed. Oct. 20, 2010 at 11 A.M. in the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street Dover, DE. Burial will be at the Lakeside Cemetery Dover, DE Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 5 to 7 P.M. and Wednesday at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to The Lane Family, 620 Persimmon Tree Lane. Dover, DE 19901 to help in Mike's health care expenses.
