Mae L. (Welhaf) Brittingham, 85
VIOLA - Mae L. (Welhaf) Brittingham of Viola died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 85.
Born and raised in Mahanoy City, Pa., she was a longtime resident of Philadelphia before moving to Delaware almost 20 years ago.
A homemaker, Mrs. Brittingham enjoyed traveling and was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brittingham was described as "everyone"s mom," and was also an avid reader.
She was the wife of the late Howard Brittingham, who died in 2000.
She is the mother of Anna Scafidi (her husband Bob Solomon) and the late Diane Chrupcala; the sister of Ike Welhaf; and is also survived by her grandchildren, Frank and Albert Scafidi, Deven Butler, Jada and Kyle Chrupcala, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, Pa., where friends may call after noon.
