DENTON, Md. - Mae H. Hubbard, of Denton, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, in the Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was 95.
Born in Fount, Ky., Mrs. Hubbard was the daughter of the late William Jay Hammons and Anne (Mills) Hammons.
Her husband, Roy Hubbard, died on May 11, 1968.
During World War II, Mrs. Hubbard helped build B-29s at the Willow Run Bomber Plant in Ypsilanti, Mich.
In the late 1940s and 1950s, she taught school in Kentucky and Florida.
She and her husband moved to Denton in 1960.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Ditzek.
Mrs. Hubbard is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, with whom she lived, Jean and Paul Hurst of Denton; and one granddaughter, Jane Hurst, also of Denton.
The services and interment will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 W. Bell St., Ridgely, MD 21660.
