Lynn Taylor, 61 BERLIN, Md. - Lynn Taylor, owner of Taylor Mowing, went home Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, as the result of a heart attack suffered during one of his cherished evening walks at Assateague National Seashore. He was 61. Born in Salisbury, Lynn was a true son of the Eastern shore, growing up in Berlin, graduating from Stephen Decatur High School and living his life here surrounded by family and friends. Lynn loved the outdoors and always found his peace when he was out on his mower with the birds, the grass and the deer. He loved to take walks on the beach, go to watch the boats at the harbor and always had time to help a friend. He was a member of U.S. Air Force. Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Cora; his children, Michele R. McCabe and her husband William of Laurel, Del., Rebecca T. Wright and her husband Benjamin of Seaford, Del.; step-daughter, Lisa Taylor of Lantana, Fla.; step-son, Eugene Rayfield and his wife Donna of Bloosburg, Pa.; his mother, Arvetta Wiles and step-father, Winford Wiles; his father, Alton Taylor; his uncle, Joseph Taylor; and sisters Joyce T. Dennis and her husband Michael, Diane Koppleman and her husband Mark and Lesley Ashley and her husband Mark. He was blessed to have ten grandchildren, William M. and Dylan W. McCabe, Benjamin T. Wright, Rhyanne Shockley, Edward Cannon, McAra Mellinger, Daniel Mellinger and Rose, Jennifer and Joseph Rayfield; four nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a beloved nephew, Michael A. Dennis Jr. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, in the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coastal Bays Program, 9919 Stephen Decatur Hwy., Suite 4, Ocean City, MD 21842.
