Lynn Edward 'Ed' Sipe III, 32
CECILTON, Md. - Lynn Edward "Ed" Sipe, of Cecilton, passed away Friday, April 4, 2008, from the result of an automobile accident. He was 32.
Ed was born March 1, 1976, in Annapolis, to Karen Sumner and the late Lynn Edward Sipe Jr.
He attended Severna Park High School, where he played varsity baseball.
After graduating from high school in 1994, Ed went on to attend Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
Soon after college he founded Lawngevity, a landscaping and irrigation company.
After Lawngevity, Ed's career path took him to accounts receivable management as a director of sales.
On Aug. 2, 2006, he married Emily Rowe, formerly of Jackson, N.J.
Prior to their marriage and during, Ed and Emily lived in Dover, Del., and resided there until 2007.
Later in 2007, they moved to Cecilton, where they continued to live until Ed's death.
He was a member of Severna Park United Methodist Church.
Ed was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan.
He was raised by his paternal grandparents, the late Lynn and Mary Sipe.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Emily Tarrant Sipe of Cecilton; a dear son, Evan Lange Sipe of Cecilton; uncle, Bruce Sipe Sr., and aunt, Gail Sipe, both of Severna Park; aunt, Dawn Sipe Kinder, and uncle, Richard Kinder Sr., both of Royston, Ga.; his cousins, Richard, Heather, David, Bruce and Brian. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Cremation and Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road, Severna Park.
Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Glen Burnie.
