GREENWOOD - Louise Isaacs Cooney passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 at the Milford Center. She was born Dec. 6, 1919 in Greenwood the daughter of Lester and Anna Cahall Isaacs. Louise graduated from Greenwood High, the class of 1939. She worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson's on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington for 20 years. Louise enjoyed crocheting, reading, word puzzles, and cryptograms. She was a very independent and determined person. Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray in 1973; a sister, Jeanette Bennett; and two brothers, Emerson and Harold Isaacs. She is survived by one brother, Rev. Everett Isaacs and his wife Catherine of Bridgeville; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Isaacs of Greenwood and Shirley Isaacs of Seaford; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 West Market Street, Greenwood, DE 19950. Interment will be held at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.
