Louise Downes Wright Adams, 92

FEDERALSBURG - Louise Downes Wright Adams, of Federalsburg, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, in Caroline Nursing Home in Denton. She was 92. She was born on Dec. 21, 1916, near Harmony, Caroline County, the daughter of the late Vernon Otto Wright and Lois Annie Shufelt. She graduated from Federalsburg High School class of 1934. She was married to F. Pierce Adams on Dec. 6, 1940. She was a homemaker and an active farmer's wife. She was a member of the First Church of God in Federalsburg, serving in the Grace Miller Circle, Nursery, Church Affairs Committee, Church Historian, and the Women of the Church of God. She also enjoyed Christian radio. She is survived by five children, Barbara A. Walters of Ridgely, Mary A. Zlock and her husband George of Dover, Del., Alton P. Adams and his wife Dawn of Federalsburg, Jerry Mark Adams Sr. and his companion Patty of Marydel, and Karen A. Penney and her husband David of Felton, Del.; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Robinson of Easton; and three nieces. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A., in Federalsburg with the Rev. Denzil Cheek and the Rev. Doug Morley officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery near Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Memorial offerings may be made in her memory to the Church of your choice.
