VIOLA - Louise J. Dill, of Viola, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009, at her home with family in Viola. She was 78. She was born on Feb. 26, 1931, in Milford, to the late Harvey and Margaret Jester. She was a longtime member of Woodside United Methodist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher, Choir Director, Sunday School Superintendent, and as a member of numerous committees and boards. Mrs. Dill was a graduate of Milford High School class of 1949. She also graduated from Goldey Beacom Business School and worked for the DuPont Company. Upon her marriage, she moved to Viola where she became a devoted housewife and mother, and assisted her husband in running the family farm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Dill Sr. in 1986; her sister, Elva Todd; and four brothers, Harlan Jester, Wesley Jester, Leroy Jester, and Nolan Jester. She is survived by son and his wife, Ernest and Cathy Dill Jr. of Viola; daughter and her husband, Shirley and Jesse Davis of Viola; grandchildren, Wesley and Ashley Dill of Viola; sister-in-law, Dorothy Jester of Felton; and several nieces and nephews. Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Woodside United Methodist Church, Woodside. Vistation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 23, at Trader Funeral Home, Dover. The Rev. Elizabeth Mallazzi will officiate. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. The family requests that memorial contributions be given in her name to Woodside United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 45, Woodside, DE 19980; or Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
