He was 49 years old. He was born Aug. 21, 1960, in Chestertown, the son of Louis J. and Janet Palmatary of Barclay. On a family trip to Florida, Jack met the love of his life and best friend, Lisa Callahan. Jack and Lisa have been together since Jack was in the 8th grade and Lisa in the 7th and the two were married in 1979. Jack followed in his fathers footsteps and became a grain and dairy farmer. He was the founder of the Queen Anne's County 4-H fair Cream of the Crop event which showcases the best of the best in breeding and showmanship of dairy cattle. Jack enjoyed mentoring young "hunters" and coaching Little League baseball. He was an avid collector of Indian artifacts, especially arrow heads and boasts an impressive collection of greater than 500. He displayed these in his trophy room which he designed and built from beams collected from old barns. The room is a hunter's paradise complete with multiple deer mounts and antique farming implements. Jack was preceded in death by one son, Louis Jonathan Palmatary III.
