'Lou' Brown, 72
FELTON, Del. - Louella M. "Lou" Brown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Harbor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewes. Lou was born in Chester, Pa. the daughter of the late Mildred and Roland Schiavi.
She started her career as a nurse, working at Fair Acres for several years. She went on to become a security guard, working for many years at the Delaware Park Casino as well as for several port authorities in the region. Lou enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, especially on the water. She loved fishing, crabbing and boating. She was a devout Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed playing cards and loved being adventurous and hanging out with family and friends.
In addition to her mother and step father; Lou was preceded in death by her cousins, Bill Williams, Michelle Williams and Thomas Blythe; as well as her loving Chihuahua, Tina, who was always at her side.
She is survived by her cousins, Margaret Blythe - Clark, Lisa Megginson, Laura Rosebrooks, John Blythe, Sr. and Robert Blythe, Sr.; as well as several generations of cousins and second cousins; her special niece and caregiver, Ashley McGinnis, who lovingly cared for Louella throughout her illness; her closest friend and confidant, Brenda Jackson; as well as several other friends.
At Lou's request, there will be no services.
