Greenwood - Lorraine E.Walls our mother and grandmother, departed this life on Dec. 18, 2014, in her home after a short illness. She was born in Deseronto, Ontario on Feb. 18, 1923. She is preceded in death by her mother, Leona Porter; husband, Clarence H. Walls Sr.; sister, Phyllis Sowden; two daughters, Diane Koerner-Manford and June Draper; and son-in-law Sandy Koerner. She is survived by nine of her children, Vivian Cebrick and husband Michael; Gary Martin and wife, Jenny; Marlene Taylor and husband William; Gwen Greenly; Marilyn Glisci and husband Richard; Jackie Carmean and husband Richard; Candace Fitzgerald; Clair Hughes and husband John and Clarence H. Walls Jr.; 15 grandchildren, Michael Cebrick, Michelle Coppolo, Tami Jenkins, Mehgan Wessels, Melissa Koerner-Fritzinger, Sanford "Skip" Koerner, Mark Greenly, Elise Glisci, Jonathan Glisci, Chelsea Carmean, Adam Carmean, Jeremy Hughes, Jessica Hughes, C.J. Walls, Lynzee Walls; two nieces, Darcy Sowden-Celeste and Laurie Sowden-Mahoney and nephew, Rick Sowden; numerous great and great-great grandchildren and her beloved crazy cat, Madison. We laid our mother to rest next to our father at St. Johnstown Church Cemetery in Greenwood on Dec. 20, 2014 in a private graveside service. Her service was graciously arranged by Fleischauer Funeral Home of Greenwood and compassionately presided over by family friend, Ralph Kemmerlin. Our mom was a talent. She loved working in her yard, always tending to her flowers herself. She was an amazing seamstress; making dozens of prom and homecoming dresses, numerous wedding gowns, bridal attendant dresses and even suits for the groom's party. She was intelligent, well-read, loved music, crocheting and sewing her crafts. Mom loved 'traveling' with Rick Steves and with Elise who shared her travels through Europe with her Gramma through letters and photos. She enjoyed going to the slots, hanging out in Walmart and Roses, when she could get to Seaford. Our mother told wonderful stories; happy, funny, spiritual and sad about her life as a child and growing up. She remembered her life events so clearly. She was healthy and rarely took anything stronger than an aspirin. We are her children and grandchildren, and we expected her to live to be 100. We are so heartbroken, and we are going to miss her everyday.
