FELTON - Loretta E. Forbes, of Felton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in her home with loved ones. She was 69.
She was born on June 14, 1938, in Chester, Pa., to the late William and Mabel Tosh Evans.
Mrs. Forbes was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She loved playing bingo, going to the slots, watching golf and tennis.
She worked at the Milford Diner until she was involved in an accident in 1998 and had to stop work.
Mrs. Forbes was very outspoken.
She was preceded in death by her son, Roy C. Hill in 1992.
She is survived by her loving and giving husband who cared for her through her illness, John A. Forbes Sr. of Felton; son, John A. Forbes Jr. of Dover; daughter, Connie Pickens of Camden; daughter, Bonnie Woodall of Camden; daughter, Arlene G. Gensel of Coral Spring, Fla.; daughter, Sharon L. Ulrich of Camden; daughter, Laurie L. Forbes of Magnolia; brother, Frank Evans of Person Corner; brother, William Stanford Evans of Dover; sister, Shirley Urash of Woodside; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Remembrance services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call two hours prior to services.
Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Delaware Hospice 911 Lotus Plaza, Dover, DE 19904.
