Lorenzo Day Clark, 89
GEORGETOWN - Lorenzo Day Clark, a resident of Georgetown since 1956, formerly of Claymont, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at home. He was 89.
Mr. Clark was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Samuel and Lorraine Neipp Clark.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
He was a driver"s ed teacher for Milford School District for nine years, retiring in 1967.
He was a past member of the Milford Kiwanis and was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts and a coach for Milford High School football and a track and junior varsity basketball coach.
He liked go carts and fast cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Lance Clark in 1994.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Roberts Clark; daughter, Geri Clark of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Scott Clark of San Diego and Kelly Clark Upah of Lancaster, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren, Gwen Upah, Ryland Upah and Slate Clark.
Services will be held at a later date in Otis, Mass.
Contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
