Mrs. Blair retired from the National Cup Company as a packer. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music. She also liked to watch NASCAR with Dale Earnhardt Sr. her favorite driver. For three years, she worked at Dover Downs during the races in the Earnhardt section. She will be remembered as being stubborn at times and set in her ways, but also outgoing and a friendly person. She was not afraid to strike up a conversation. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and especially spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. Mrs. Blair belonged to the Harrington Moose Lodge. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by husband, Robert B. Blair; brother, Robert Freck; sister, Patricia Workman; and a daughter, Gloria Jean Foxwell. In addition to her mother, she is survived by children, Jodie Vincent of Harrington, Brenda Rust of Farmington, Barbara Meisch of Farmington, Clarence Foxwell Jr. of Farmington, Allen Jones of Dover, Robert Blair of Lincoln, Richard Blair of Harrington, Hank Blair of Harrington, Janet Blair of Bowling Green, Ky., and Ginger Blair of Felton; brother, Richard Freck of Florida; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and her dog which she loved dearly, Pepe'; and a very dear friend, Foxy. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kent County SPCA.
