Lois (Fox) Jones, 80

GEORGETOWN - Lois Fox Jones of Georgetown died Monday, March 12, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was 80.

She was born in Sylva, N.C., daughter of the late Thomas A. and Lola (Weathers) Fox, and moved to Georgetown from Baltimore in 1980.

Lois was a supervisor at All First Bank, Millsboro, for 30 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Georgetown.

Lois enjoyed making quilts, sewing, crafts and attending flea markets. She also loved her grandchildren and was always willing to help people in need.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly G. Jones Sr., in 2001; two sons, Gary Steve Russell and Jeffrey L. Jones Sr.; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by three sons, Kelly G. Jones Jr. and his wife Deborah of Gainesville, Ga., Thomas C. Jones of Georgetown, and David Jones and his fiancee Barbara Paler of Hazelton, Pa.; a daughter, Patty Hipps of Texas; three sisters, Fay Dickens and her husband Jimmy of Wauchula, Fla., Louise Huege and her husband Don of Yamhill, Ore., and Doris Redden and her husband Jimmy of Wauchula; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call today from 6-8 p.m.
