MARYDEL - Lisa Marie DeLong passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013. Lisa was born on Nov. 11, 1971 in Dover, Del. She had worked for the Delaware Home & Hospital for the Chronically Ill, in Smyrna as an LPN. Lisa loved her dogs, animals, knitting and watching her son Robert play baseball. She also was a NASCAR fan especially Dale Earnhart, Jr. She is preceded in death by her father Barney Jones in 2007. Lisa is survived by her mother Sherrylee Jones of Hartly, her husband of 19 years Dennis DeLong, Sr., two sons William T. DeLong and Robert M. DeLong both of Marydel, great-grandmother Patricia Smith of Hartly;, step children Ethel Jennings-DeLong, Dennis DeLong Jr., Brian DeLong and Curtis DeLong all of New Castle and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Burial will be private.
