NEWARK - Linwood F. "Jim" Lahman, 87, formerly of Newark, passed away on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Dennis See in Chincoteague, Va. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for H. Crouse and R.A. Boyer Construction. He was a member of the Newark V.F.W. and the New Castle Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Ann Lahman; three sons, James Lahman, Roland Lahman and David Lahman; one daughter, Peggy Ann Lahman; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Dennis See, with whom he lived; three brothers, Arvel Lahman, Douglas Lahman, and Donald Lahman; and a sister, Eleanor Rogers; and many Grandchildren. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2011, at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington. Services with military honors will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, in the Chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Patriots Way, Millsboro.
