Linda Ann Carter, 56

MILFORD -- Linda Ann Carter, 56, of Milford, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Carter was born March 12, 1952, daughter of Carrie (Kay) Messick of Milford and the late Leon (Lee) Messick. She was a 1970 graduate of Milford High School and graduated as a registered nurse from Delaware Technical and Community College. She worked as a registered nurse at Milford Memorial Hospital, for several years at Detox in Ellendale and finally at the Stockley Center in Millsboro. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Justen Kitt Carter. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Christopher L. Carter; a son and daughter-in-law, Dayn and Gaye Carter; a son, Cole Carter, a grandson, Drew Carter; her mother, Carrie (Kay) Messick; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Richard Webb and Kay and Steve VanSant, all of Milford. Funeral services were Wednesday at Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Ave., Milford. Burial was in Milford Community Cemetery.
