GREENSBORO - Lillian Sara Bishop of Greensboro, formerly of Rehoboth Beach, Del., passed away Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 in the Memorial Hospital of Easton, She was 83. Lillian was born February 22, 1927 in Goldsboro to the late Frank and Sarah Pearson Breeding. She is survived by two sisters, Mae Bishop of Greensboro, and Ruth Bowers of Smyrna; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Davis N. Bishop (Sept. 4 ,1984); two brothers Walter Breeding, and Linwood Breeding; and four sisters, Carlotta Breeding, Barbara Porter, Myrtle Downes, and Dorothy Thoroughgood. Mrs. Bishop was a graduate of Greensboro High and was Valedictorian for her class. She worked as a secretary for Cooklyn Milk and the Board of Education for Delaware. She moved to Baltimore County where she worked for Liberty Federal Savings and Loan retiring as Vice President upon which she moved to Rehoboth Beach. Lillian enjoyed traveling all over the world and U.S. She was an avid gardener and did charity work for her churches. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at 2 p.m., from Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, Md. Interment will be at the Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, Md.
