Lillian Mae Parker, 99

LINCOLN - Lillian Mae Parker, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. She was 99.

Mrs. Parker was born March 30, 1908, in Felton, the eldest of 15 children, to John Mack and Emma J. Warren.

She was married at an early age to Leroy Parker.

Their union did not produce any children, but she was a mother to all the children she met.

She left a long and lasting impression on everyone she came in contact with. She was loved by everyone.

Lillian worked at Draper King Cole in Milton for more than 50 years.

She was a lifelong member of Mount Enon Baptist Church in Milford. She was a Church Mother, a Missionary, Choir Member and served in the Pastor"s Aid Ministry.

Lillian"s favorite Scripture was Acts 20:35, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Her favorite hymns were "We Have Come a Long Way," "The Solid Rock," "I Stand" and "When We All Get to Heaven."

She was a praying mother and would give her last to anyone.

She is survived by one sister, Rosa Davis of Ellendale; two sisters-in-law, Rachel Warren of Lincoln and Josephine Warren of Pennsylvania; a host of first, second, third and fourth generation nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who loved her dearly.

Family and friends may call Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Mount Enon Baptist Church in Milford. The funeral service will follow immediately.

Interment will be at The Old Hickory Cemetery in Slaughter Neck, DE.
