HARRINGTON - Lillian (Minner) Lane, 88, went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lane was born on April 30, 1922, in Harrington. She was a homemaker and owned and operated school buses for 27 years with her late husband, Joseph Lane. She was a member of the Harrington Senior Center and the First Baptist Church of Milford. She was a graduate of Harrington High School, serving as the historian for the class of 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lane on March 15, 1998, her sister Margaret Rogers and her brother Henry Minner. She is survived by two sons, Carlos (Dickie) Wisseman and his wife Rosie of Felton, and Alan Lane and his wife Nancy of Harrington; a daughter, JoAnne DeMint and her husband Steve of Circleville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Cheryl (Wayne) Hayes, Joey (Debbie) Lane, Lance (Alison) Lane, Devan (Nathan) Carpenter, Josh DeMint, Elijah and JoAnna Molly DeMint; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Argo; a special great-niece and caregiver, Amy Argo and her sons Tucker and Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Milford, 6062 Old Shawnee Road, Milford where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to either the Harrington Senior Center, 102 Fleming Street, Harrington, DE 19952; or to the First Baptist Church of Milford, 6062 Old Shawnee Road, Milford, DE 19963.
