DOVER - Lillian E. Farlow of Dover died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 74.
She was born Feb. 25, 1933, in Harrington to the late George Brooklyn and Alice Pearl Benson.
Lillian attended school in Harrington and later at Booker T. Washington.
She worked at Playtex in Dover and later became a home health care provider, but most of all a homemaker caring for her husband and four children who were her pride and joy.
Lillian was a member of Victory Chapel on Del. 8 in Dover under the direction of Pastor Robert Appling until her health began to fail.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin L. Farlow; her sister, Ida Benson; and three brothers, George, William and David Brown; a very special aunt, Ruth Anne Lewis; and two nephews, David and William Benson Jr.
She is survived by four sons, Kenneth Cooper, Mark Farlow, Marvin Farlow and his wife Sharon and Brian Farlow, all of Dover; three stepchildren, Eva Harris and her husband Nelson, Alice Crump and Thomas Farlow, all of Dover; seven grandchildren, Jennita Cooper of New Mexico, Donzelle Robinson, Bryona Blango, Timar Bordley, Daduen Robinson, Marvin Jr. and Marlon Farlow, all of Dover; three brothers, Charles Benson of Louisiana, Lester Benson of Bear and Ronald Parker of Dover; one sister, Alice Fitchett of Seaford; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins with special bonds, Jacqueline and her husband Benson Wright of Houston and Jeffrey Benson of Seaford; a multitude of friends; and three very special friends, Bernice Murray and her son Michael Benson and Christine Potts.
She will be dearly missed by all.
Services will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may view two hours prior.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday in Sharon Hill Cemetery.
